A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail is teasing pairs of Relic sets and Planar Ornaments coming to the game with the Version 2.3 update, expected to launch next month. The sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse provides players with a plethora of different methods for powering up their characters and optimizing their playstyles. Light Cones provide bonuses to characters in specific classes alongside unique effects that can benefit each roster member's individual playstyles, while Relics and Planar Ornaments provide more general boosts. Now, new Relics and Planar Ornaments are reportedly coming with Version 2.3.

While Light Cones are primarily acquired through Honkai: Star Rail's gacha and events, Relics and Planar Ornaments can be found throughout the in-game world. Players can use their in-game Trailblaze Power for Honkai: Star Rail's "Cavern of Corrosion" challenges to earn more Relics, with a relic's individual stats randomized with each item. Planar Ornaments, on the other hand, are exclusively available as rewards for clearing Elite rooms in the popular Simulated Universe game mode. Now, players are set to receive even more options for powering up their characters with Star Rail's next update.

Iron Cavalry Against Scourge

  • 2-piece: Increases Break Effect by 16%.

The Wind-Soaring Valorous

  • 2-piece: ATK increases by 12%
  • 4-piece: When the wearer uses an Ultimate or unleashes follow-up attacks, increase the wearer's DMG dealt by 20%. This effect stacks up to 2 time(s) and will be dispelled at the end of the wearer's turn.

Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern

  • 2-piece: Increases the wearer's SPD by 6%. When the wearer hits an enemy with Fire Weakness, Break Effect increases by 40%, lasting for 1 turn(s).

Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves

  • 2-piece: When an ally unleashes follow-up attacks, the wearer gains one stack of Merit, up to a maximum of 6 stack(s). Each stack of Merit increases the wearer's follow-up attack DMG dealt by 4%. When the maximum of 6 stack(s) is reached, additionally increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 24%.

Honkai: Star Rail's two newest Planar Ornament sets look to similarly provide a mix of elemental damage and follow-up attack support. The two-piece bonus for "Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern" increases the wearer's Speed, while also increasing Break Effect when attacking an enemy with Fire Weakness. "Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves" grants Merit stacks after using a follow-up attack, with each stack increasing ATK and maxing out on Merit stacks providing an extra Crit Damage bonus.

Version 2.3's Relics and Planar Ornaments are expected to heavily benefit Honkai: Star Rail's two newest characters coming with the update. HoYoverse revealed the long-awaited Firefly as a Fire Destruction character, with her kit expected to center around Weakness Break and Break Effect. Jade's introduction as a Quantum Erudition character will similarly benefit from follow-up attack boosts, as her Skill and Ultimate heavily revolve around follow-up attacks. Honkai: Star Rail players looking to pick up the newest characters in Version 2.3 should look to pick up the game's powerful new Relics and Planar Ornaments.
