FS: ($28k) 2017 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium (2024)

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana

$28k
Odometer: 165k miles
Always serviced at Toyota (2nd owner)

This 4Runner has nearly everything a TRD Pro and Limited comes with. Heated leather seats, powered seats, sunroof, TRD Pro Rims, and all the best of the Toyota CRAWL Control System including Multi-Terrain Select. My personal favorite, the manual transfer case instead of the rotary dial in the dash. KDSS makes for a very stable ride on pavement and of course it auto disengages when off-road. I am selling this due to living in a city now and career change. I have it setup as a nice camp/off-road vehicle. It is modified but not heavily to the point that you can't customize it some more. It is ready for bumpers due to having extra, nearly brand new Old Man Emu parts that will come with the vehicle. Makes me sad to sell but I want someone else to enjoy it. Does fantastic off road!

Tires

BF Goodrich KO2 285/70/17 Load Range E. (If full asking price is paid, I will put a new set of tires on before pickup with warranty transfer through Discount Tire)
Toyota TRD Pro Rims

Tires have about 10k miles left on them.

Suspension

Old Man Emu Light Duty Setup in rear, Light Duty setup in front coil overs. (3" lift)

  • I have the heavy duty coil overs, top hats for the front, took off heavy duty coils after 10k miles.
  • I still have the heavy duty coils for the rear so you basically have a backup suspension for this rig.
    • I have mix and match due suspension due to having the heavy duty in the rear and didn't put a bumper on. It rode like a rhinoceros running across the African plains when emptied so I switched it to the light OME coils. Rides fantastic now.
  • KDSS Treaty Oak Off-road spacers to account for the OME Lift. Front and back.

Accessories

CBI Off-Road Side Rails
RCI Aluminum skid plate with front bumper filler plate.
Rigd Tire Carrier no longer included.
Pelican Vault Cases Included
Prinsu Rack
23Zero Awning
40” dual function light bar

I have 2 Deep Sleep Overland mattresses that are made for the 4Runner that I will be selling with this. These are very comfortable! Link Below

Electrical

Optima Red Top Main battery, Optima Yellowtop auxiliary battery
National Luna Dual Battery Kit with controller installed
ARB fused wiring to rear Blue Sea Systems 12v, Dual USB, Voltmeter with power off an on Switch

  • Vehicle is plug and play ready for a fridge setup. I currently run a Dometic CFX65W
    • Dometic Fridge, slide, and platform will be included.

Blue Sea Systems dual USB 4.8v port installed in dash 12v space ("Add a fuse" tap set to ALWAYS ON so you can charge phones, tablets at camp)

  • There is wiring installed for a CB/Ham radio by previous owner. Power ran to positive terminal on main battery. Fuse to interior. No CB/Ham radio currently hooked up though

Toyota OEM Trailer Brake wiring harness included (not installed)
7 and 4 Pin Toyota towing wiring with hitch installed

Mechanical

Vehicle has been maintained at Toyota Dealers. I have done the following maintenance and repairs since I bought it.

  • Replaced both left and right bank Secondary Manifold Intake Valves (emissions part)
    • One threw a code that bank was stuck open so I replaced both. OEM parts, work flawlessly

This was a big one and missed by both previous owners: Needle bearing replaced. It was making noise during test drive when I bought it but they missed it in inspection. After I lifted the vehicle, it got really loud so I had it taken in and the needle bearing delete kit put in. Under warranty for 1 year but has no moving parts to fail. I ate the cost of it after fighting with Toyota about it. It fixes the needle bearing issue that this generation of 4Runner has so many documented cases of them failing on stock ones with under 20k miles.

I just replaced all pads and rotors at 151k miles. Extra set of brake pads included.

Body

The body and frame on this car is very clean! I have included a lot of pictures to document it. This was a Michigan/Indiana vehicle but was meticulously cared for in the winters and it shows. I never went more than two days this last winter without running it through a carwash and power washing under the car. Previous owner must have done the same. One of the reasons I felt so good buying a midwestern rig.

Clean Carfax
No accidents
No dents
No rust in wheel wells
Minor nicks with touchup here and there on front and sides.

Known Problems:

No known problems, weird sounds, or leaks.

I work remotely so I have travelled a lot and put a bunch of miles on it this last year.
